Dicle Gülşahin, Communications Officer & EUNIC

I work as a communications officer at DutchCulture and secretary for EUNIC Netherlands; a network organisation devoted to demonstrating and promoting European cultural diversity and exchange. My responsibilities consist of creating and managing content for the DutchCulture audience, supporting TransArtists with content and communications, and conducting secretarial tasks for EUNIC Netherlands. I joined DutchCulture in 2020 as a part of the Mobility & Advice team, which turned out to be a great chance to learn and enjoy making knowledge available to artists and cultural professionals. As of 2022, I am happy to utilise and extend my existing skills in my new team: Communications & Marketing. In my professional journey, I aim to make cultural means accessible to everyone, regardless of physical and social conditions.

Having an educational background in public administration combined with arts and cultural management both in Turkey and Italy, I also work as an international cultural project manager on freelance basis. Currently, I am an editor for MAMA, a visual culture platform in Rotterdam, and I work for multiple other projects ranging from an international short film festival to a local tourist map. When I have time and energy left, I like to produce lo-fi music, in which I combine Turkish pop culture with personal elements based on the experience of living in the Netherlands.
